We started all of our classes on Monday. I have Cross-Cultural Management and Barcelona City: Past and Present (a history course) on Mondays and Wednesdays. Then on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I have Spanish for Business and International Marketing. Luckily, I have friends in all of my classes so I'm happy about that.
Monday started off a little rocky because the Management class that I have starts at 11:00 AM but I had never been to that campus because it was at one of the Business School Campuses a half hour away. First, I made sure to leave extra early because I didn't know exactly how to get there; Second, I missed my stop (which is shocking because I am usually good with train and subway stops) on the train so I had to get off, wait for a different one to come, and then take it back to the correct stop; and Third, I had no idea where I was when I got off the train and I had to take a cab (who didn't know where he was going either) to the campus.
The second half of the day went a little smoother, I had my history class and my roommate Jessica is in my class so that's good. After that class, at 3:45, I went back to my apartment and waited for my roommates to come back so we could go to dinner. We went to a really good restaurant right by La Rambla with good food and cheap prices. Like I said earlier, people don't eat until late here so we didn't get home until about 12:30 AM so we just hung out before going to sleep.
Tuesday was a better day because both of the campuses I have class on are really easy to get to. My Spanish class is a 5 minute walk from my apartment which is very convenient. I'm in the Advanced Spanish for Business class with only about 8 people, which scares me a little, but I have my friend in it so it will be fine.
My International Marketing class is at a different Business School Campus and that class I have with two of my good friends which is going to be good for all of our group assignments we have.
I'm done by 3:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays so today, my friend and I decided to be productive and get a gym membership. The gym is gorgeous and it's about 10 minutes from my apartment. There are a lot of treadmills, ellipticals, and weight machines, as well as classes, a steam room, and pool that we are allowed to use. I will probably be utilizing the showers there because they are a lot bigger and nicer than the shower in my apartment.
Tonight we are going to go out to either a bar or club, and since we don't have classes on Friday, we will definitely be going out tomorrow night also. This weekend we have a day trip to a winery and beach town so I will definitely be writing about them if I don't write before that.
